Complimentary Marathon Training with CARA

Summer Marathon Training begins the week of June 10th. Everyone is automatically enrolled in CARA training either virtually or in-person. It is an 18-week plan.
Additionally, everyone will receive a spring training guide from the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) via email shortly. This 6-week conditioning plan to prepare you for the start of marathon training begins the week of April 29.
CARA is our exclusive training partner. Whether you are local or training virtually, it’s complimentary and we urge you to take advantage of it. Following the plan will help you build endurance gradually and will lessen the chance of injuries. You were automatically signed up for this training, there is nothing else you need to do.
The training plan and weekly check-in emails will be sent by CARA to all participants. Those of you training in-person at one of CARA’s three Chicago locations or six suburban locations will receive your training packets in the mail the week after Memorial Day (NOTE: You DO NOT need to pick up your packet, it will be mailed to you).
